In 1940, one of the most elegant and glamorous automobiles available was the Buick Limited Model 81C Fastback Convertible Phaeton, of which only 230 examples were produced. The Sequoia Yellow car offered here is reported to be one of only 14 documented examples remaining in existence today. A CCCA Full Classic, it was formerly owned by the founder of the Buick Club of America, the late Greg Field.

Mr. Field personally oversaw its complete restoration during the early 1990s, and today it remains a striking example that has been carefully maintained by its knowledgeable owner. It is offered with its rare original jack, as well as original 1940 Buick sales literature and a framed original Buick showroom poster, which depicts a Model 81C Convertible Phaeton, similarly displayed in Sequoia Yellow. This outstanding and truly rare automobile will provide a wonderful motoring experience, and is sure to grace any future show field it enters.
