With a long waitlist already established for the newest entry in the legendary lineup of Ferrari GT cars, the only way to get a new Ferrari Roma is with a celebrity connection…

International pop sensation Adam Levine is known nearly as well for his smooth vocal delivery as he is a discerning critic of upcoming talent. Levine’s role as a judge on The Voice showed his leadership skills over sixteen seasons; in 2013, People labeled Levine the “Sexiest Man Alive,” and after that, Levine could have easily cashed in his celebrity chips, filled a garage full of supercars, and lead a life of leisure.

Fortunately for all of us, Levine is significantly more civic-minded. The Los Angeles-born Levine has contributed to the design of a low-cost guitar for budding musicians and helped to raise awareness of childhood and adult ADHD. Along with his partner, supermodel and fellow philanthropist Behati Prinsloo, Levine’s latest charitable effort is sure to make a substantial impact on shielding youngsters from the wide-ranging effects of COVID-19. Together with Save the Children, Prinsloo and Levine have decided their next charitable effort will come with the delivery of a brand-new Ferrari Roma, courtesy of Ferrari themselves, to raise money for Save the Children.

A 2021 Ferrari Roma was donated for the Save the Children’s virtual gala and will be auctioned off through an Online Only auction on rmsothebys.com in efforts to support education programs across the United States and the impacts COVID-19 has had on the tragic loss of learning experienced by children during the pandemic.

Even charitable superstars can understand the appeal of supercars, after all. Levine is a devoted Ferrarista, who has owned some of the brand’s greatest hits, including a 1971 365 GTB/4 “Daytona” and a 1963 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso. The graceful, flowing lines of the Lusso, considered by many enthusiasts to be the most gorgeous design in Ferrari history, have doubtlessly influenced the shape of the all-new Ferrari Roma.

Launched online in November 2019, the Roma is the most advanced grand touring Ferrari to date and serves as a blueprint of the future design language of the brand. The ultimate riposte from Centro Stile to any critics who decried the functional nature of the most recent Ferrari supercars, the Roma has been sculpted by aerodynamics without sacrificing the beauty and proportions of a classic GT. Showing the degree of collaboration between design and engineering at Ferrari, the finished Roma has no fixed rear wing or protruding diffuser under the rear bumper; gone are any external air intakes, giving the Roma the cleanest side profile of any modern supercar.

Underneath the elegant skin of the Roma, an advanced, active aero system ensures maximum efficiency no matter the velocity. With a speed-dependent, mobile rear spoiler that also detects lateral acceleration and can deploy under hard braking, vortex generators on the front underbody, and another active system underneath the rear, a huge amount of heavy lifting has been accomplished to allow the Roma to keep its unspoiled shape.

With such a desirable shape, the only difficulty is getting to the front of the Ferrari Roma waiting list. Enter Prinsloo and Levine, your celebrity connection, partnering with Ferrari to promote this worthy cause. Why? The easy answer is that Levine and Prinsloo have higher priorities. As Levine puts it, “As so many other parents worldwide, during this time we have been focused first and foremost on taking care of our girls, and Save the Children is helping countless children and families with crucial education resources.”

And there is evidence that this generous contribution will make an impact. To date, Save the Children has delivered learning resources to more than 178,000 children and their families in 200 rural communities. “Kids are so vulnerable with everything going on in the world today, and the incredible work of Save the Children to shield them is vital more now than ever,” Behati Prinsloo said.

Normally, it would be impossible to buy one of Ferrari’s latest and most desirable models. But thanks to the generous, civic-minded gift from Ferrari, and Levine and Prinsloo’s efforts to promote this good cause, not only do you have an opportunity to bid on one of the earliest of the new Ferrari Roma examples delivered to North America, but also a chance to meet the crucial need for educational resources in rural areas, doing a virtuous deed in the process. Save the Children and drive like an international superstar at the same time. Sounds pretty decent to me.
