This 1932 Ford Roadster combines a newer, quality drivetrain with a definitive vintage look. The Rodbods steel body is combined with steel running boards, both being high quality components. The classic look is reinforced by the two-tone Black and Burgundy paint that has a great shine and a perfect finish.

The round Commercial headlights are mounted with a chrome headlight bar. Chrome period taillights are mounted in rear next to the painted gas tank with custom pinstripes. Tasteful pinstriping is also found on the headlights and are period correct. The quality of this car is described by the consignor as the “type that was done right.” The doors close solidly and everything has a perfect fit.

The car was completely redone, from front to rear, in 2010 with no expense spared. The car was professionally built to be one of the nicest in the country. The car has a great stance and looks impressive whether it’s running down the road or sitting at a car show. The 16-inch SoCal knock-off aluminum slotted wheels work perfectly on this car and are safety wired and mounted with Firestone bias ply tires.

Under the four-piece hood is a 350-cid V-8 Chevrolet engine that runs very well. The block and heads are coated in a Burgundy to match the car and looks terrific next to all the chrome detail. The nostalgic Oldsmobile air cleaner tops off the motor nicely and is framed by similarly painted Corvette valve covers. The fins and Corvette lettering has been highlight polished, adding a very nice underhood accent. Continuing with the “old school” feel is the Speedway ram-horn exhaust manifolds which feed into a custom fabricated ceramic coated exhaust that produces a great sound.

Other examples of the high quality parts include the chrome alternator, Edelbrock carburetor and Petronix distributor. There are many parts to this car that could be highlighted; such is the quality of this build. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly on a car with no issues. The gear-change is through a Gennie drilled shifter with a polished shift knob.

The eight-inch Ford rear end fits under this car nicely and is properly painted. To keep with the vintage theme, Buick drum brakes are in place on this car with Wilson Welding finned backing plates up front. Along with the front end components, they are all chromed and have an amazing shine. The front end is made up of drilled and chromed wishbones and polished / dropped / drilled SoCal I beam axle.

The bench seat and door panels are topped with a custom design laid-out in two-tone, pleated ultra-leather. The carpet is perfectly fit with high quality stitching. The dash is nicely painted and topped with more traditional style pinstriping. Black-faced Classic Instrument gauges are all attractively mounted and framed in an engine-turned Auburn dash panel. Even a chrome vintage heater box was utilized and is found under the dash. The polished column is topped off with a leather wrapped steering wheel with a Classic Instruments tachometer.
