- MG stands for Morris Garages, where the British sports car was founded in the 1920s by Cecil Kimber
- Five variations of the MG Midget were built beginning in 1936 and ending in 1955. Those models included the TA, TB, TC, TD, and lastly the TF.
- This ’54 MG features the TD Mark II engine with 1250cc
- Improvements on TF models over the previous years included headlights faired into the fenders, a sloping radiator grille with a separate radiator, and a new pressurized cooling system
