- The TR3A was an update of the TR3 which had been produced since October of 1955. TR3A’s were built from 1957 until 1962 at which time the TR3B debuted.
- Upgrades to the TR3 to create the TR3A included new wide front grille, exterior door handles, lockable boot handle and came standard with a full tool kit.
- A total of 58,236 TR3A’s were produced, approximately 9,500 are believed to survive today.
- The TR3 was the first car to include standard disc brakes.
- The TR3A features the same engine as the TR3, a 1991cc straight 4 cylinder
