This PT Cruiser has been completely disassembled and rebuilt to rear-wheel drive with a 360-cid V-8 crate engine; with performance upgrades, it develops over 400 horsepower. The transmission is a 904 automatic with a 2800 stall converter and a Cheetah shifter. The rear end is an 8-3/4- inch Chrysler with 3.90:1 gearing. The rear end also features ladder bars and coil-over shocks. The engine is offset per Chrysler specifications.
The PT Cruiser has been featured in the August 2007 edition of “Mopar Muscle Magazine” and has won awards at various Mopar classic shows. It has more than 2,800 man hours devoted to the build along with over $27,000 in receipts. Note this title states rebuilt salvage.
