Car Specialist – North America
Jake Auerbach got his start in the automotive industry at an early age, spending his summers during high school working at a classic car restoration shop in Long Island, New York. He graduated from Pace University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Photography, spending two years managing a classic car facility in New York before joining the RM Group of Companies in February 2015. Jake’s primary passion is for competition vehicles and post-war European sports and touring cars. He is a member of AMOC, VSCCA, and MOC and has competed in a number of long-distance road rallies, including the Great Race and the Trans-America Challenge.
When speaking about his favorite RM moment, Jake says that nothing compares to the moment the doors to the Richard Roy Collection first opened. Mr. Roy had privately collected some of the most amazingly original early American cars, and in his barn were 25 prime examples. Some of the vehicles had been sitting there for 60 years or more, and it was a real privilege to be entrusted to bring the cars into the light and out onto the block.
