The Ferves Ranger was first unveiled at the 1966 Turin Motor Show as an unusual and distinctly Italian take on the compact off-roader. The car was designed by Carlo Ferrari, and its name is derived from the abbreviation of FERrari VEicoli Speciali. The Ranger made use of a combination of elements from both the successful Fiat 500 and 600, with an 18-horsepower rear-mounted engine sourced from the 500 and the all-independent suspension from the 600D. The open bodywork included a folding windscreen and doors, which are easy to remove, and the utilitarian car can even seat four passengers.

The Ranger was available in two- and four-wheel-drive versions, allowing for the traversal of terrain that no other microcar could hope to handle, aided by a very low gear ratio. Ferves would go on to produce approximately 600 Rangers, fewer than 50 of which are believed to survive.

This example is finished in blue with a black vinyl soft-top roof featuring clear plastic side and rear windows. It is distinguished by mesh headlight covers, a spare wheel strapped to the rear, and the fitment of white steel wheels. The Ferves benefits from a bare-metal restoration, said to have been completed in 2018 at a workshop in Salerno, Italy. Photos of the car undergoing restoration are available to view on file.

Cet exemplaire présente une couleur bleue avec une capote en vinyle noire comportant une lunette arrière et des vitres latérales en plastique transparent. Il se distingue par ses phares protégés par des grilles, une roue de secours sanglée à l'arrière, et des jantes blanches en tôle. Cette Ferves a bénéficié d'une restauration complète, qui aurait été effectuée en 2018 dans un atelier de Salerno, en Italie.
