Produced in the early 1950s by Mr. W.P. Jones, this ‘one-off’ scale model of a Ferrari 2-litre Grand Prix pedal car is in exceptional condition for its age. This model provides a superior amount of safety constructed in true race car fashion with light-gauge steel tubing and an aircraft-type aluminum body and fasteners. It features a full ‘50s-era 'wishbone' racing suspension with drum brakes, stub-type exhaust, quick-action filler fuel cap, twin streamlined rear-view mirrors, Smith gauges, wooden overlaid three spoke steering wheel, bucket racing-style seat, and 'knock-off' hubs with spoke rims. It was to be produced as a real Ferrari, not simply a Ferrari-shaped body set upon four wheels. It sparked the interests and won the blessings of Enzo Ferrari himself. Enzo's interests aided the production of this car by not only supplying the drawings but also the authentic famous Ferrari "prancing horse" transfers to grace the body of this model.
