This 1964 Ford Falcon Squire Wagon has been customized with beachcombing in mind. The ”Tiki Taxi” is finished in a distinctive green and tan combination and displays body trim with custom, bullet-shaped fasteners. This border surrounded the simulated wood trim of the Falcon Squire, marketed in period as “America’s most distinctive compact wagon.” This fun travel alternative is powered by a 289-cid V-8 engine with an Edelbrock four-barrel carb, Offenhauser intake and Mallory distributor; it is matched to a three-speed manual transmission. The accelerator pedal is appropriately a big bare foot.
There are many beach related items onboard the Ford, including a roof-rack mounted surfboard, assorted beach equipment, custom interior touches, theme-based window stickers and lettering. Additionally the “Tiki Taxi” has an JVC stereo, power rear window, heater, seatbelts, attractive color-keyed wheels and wide whitewall tires.
