Model 79A. 100 bhp, 239.4 cu. in. L-head V-8 engine, three-speed manual transmission, solid front axle and live rear axle with transverse semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 114 in.

In March 1947, Ford gave its post-war line a mild facelift. Parking lights were moved below the headlights and made round in shape, and the earlier red accents were removed from the chrome trim and the instrument panel. The trunk lid received a new, bolder chrome molding.

This second series 1947 Ford is a partial restoration from a good, solid, original car. It has new paint, in Dove Grey, a new grey cord interior, and NOS chrome side trim, grille, and bumpers. A new fuel tank and wiring were installed, as well as five new whitewall tires. The flathead engine was tuned and runs well. The engine compartment and undercarriage have been cleaned but appear to retain their original finish. Accessories include a Ford radio, a heater, and wheel trim rings. In the same ownership for 30 years, it has been garage kept and runs and drives very well, and it is simply ready for fun.
