Est. 85 hp, 221 cu. in. L-head eight-cylinder engine with speed equipment, three-speed manual transmission, two-speed differential, live axle suspension with transverse leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulically-actuated drum brakes. Wheelbase: 112 in.

Ford only offered a handful of options on the 1940 DeLuxe models, and this convertible has most of them. An AM radio with roof-mounted antennae, a clock, fender skirts, DeLuxe hubcaps and trim rings, chrome bumper guards and tips, and dual mirrors can all be found on this example. This Ford has also been upgraded with some great vintage speed equipment under the hood, including Offenhauser heads and an intake topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and polished aluminum air breather. Modified for driving, it also has a 12-volt system with alternator and vintage two-speed rear end. The underside of the car was all restored some time ago with maroon pans and a gloss black chassis. The interior retains a very stock appearance, with restored saddle vinyl upholstery, a clean dash, and attractive wood grain. All of the exterior paint and chrome presents very well with minimal flaws.
