85 hp, 221 cu. in. L-head V-8 engine, three-speed manual transmission, solid front axle and live rear axle with transverse semi-elliptic leaf springs, four-wheel mechanical drum brakes, and dual exhaust. Wheelbase: 112 in.

In 1936, the 20 millionth Ford was built, and the success of the flathead V-8 was endorsed with the production of three million examples since only 1932. Only 5,601 examples of the handsome convertible sedan were produced that year. Presented in Cordoba Gray with a tan cloth top, this is a very special offering. It has several notable features, including amber Ford fog lights, dual mirrors, dual tail lamps, a luggage rack, an AM radio with under-car antennae, and a dash clock. The banjo steering wheel and gauges remain original, while the saddle brown seat covers and door panels have been replaced relatively recently. The engine bay is largely stock, unrestored, and attractive in the way a purist would appreciate. The underside has been restored with gloss black paint and is only lightly soiled from age. One of the rarest ’36 Fords, this convertible sedan is highly desirable for what it is and for the potential it holds.
