Celebrating one of Porsche's most iconic models, the 997-generation of the 911 Speedster was conceived as the ultimate and most exclusive iteration of the open-top 911 for the connoisseur. To the casual observer, this might have been just another 911 Cabriolet, but to the trained eye, the 911 Speedster is so much more.

This limited-production car is a product of Porsche's Exclusive Department, which means some very unique features were fitted, including a 77-mm shorter windscreen, the wider rear hips of the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4 and Turbo models, deletion of the rear seats, "Speedster humps" covering the rear deck, Fuchs-style wheels, contrasting leather seats, custom speedster sill plates, door pulls, and a host of other details. There were only 356 of these cars made for the global market, and this is number 294 of 356.

Delivered to Porsche of Fairfield in Connecticut, this Speedster was purchased by the owner of the dealership. It was finished in Carrera White with a black interior and matching white accents, one of only two standard colors offered on the Speedster. Playing on the car's inherent exclusivity, these cars came exceptionally well equipped as standard from the factory. Based on the 997.2 GTS Cabriolet, standard options included Porsche's PDK transmission (a manual transmission was not available), the "Power Kit" which bumped engine output up to 408 bhp, PCCB brakes, PASM suspension, the Sport Chrono package, sport seats, and clear taillights. This car's only optional extra is XM satellite radio.

The Speedster was acquired by the current owner three years ago; when he purchased the car, it had just shy of 1,100 miles on the odometer. Since then, the car has accrued roughly 400 additional miles. As a result, it remains in showroom-fresh condition, having recently been serviced by a local Porsche dealership.

Without doubt one of the most memorable and collectable iterations of the 997 generation of 911, this Speedster would be the perfect stablemate to its predecessors as an exciting and usable modern icon.
