This 1962 Chrysler 300 Sport Series two-door hardtop has been upgraded with details that reflect and honor the Chrysler 300H. The engine is the twin four-barrel carbureted 383-cid V-8 that is paired to the pushbutton automatic. The 300 Sport Series were virtually identical to the 300H Letter Car, except for hubcaps, tires and the lack of the small “H” on the rear decklid. This car now has these details, plus it has the beautifully designed interior the cars were renowned for. With its full-length center console (with tachometer) between the front bucket seats, the cabin is bisected and leaves two bucket seats for the rear passengers also. This restored sports coupe also features power windows, steering and brakes; dual fender-mounted mirrors, padded dash, radio, excellent and distinguished brightwork trim elements, plus tastefully-sized whitewall tires. The modest number of 11,776 of this series and bodystyle were built versus the 435 total 300H Hardtop Coupes built. This is a worthy upgrade on a solid and attractive Chrysler.
