Like all SS80s produced after 1935, frame number M8/1944 is equipped with a 990 Matchless engine. Offered with a copy of original factory records, the first known owner is recorded as a Mr O.B. Smyth. The records certify that M8/1944 retains its original engine, number BS/X 4671, and it is currently presented in original condition.

Ownership passed eventually to Mr Richard Aspden, who owned the Brough Superior through 1965. The next known owner was Mr Jack Williamson, who recorded the bike with the Brough Superior Club in 2000 and had the machine re-registered under its original registration number, EAU 858. Much of the accompanying history file was compiled during Williamson’s tenure. Passing to one more owner, the motorcycle was bought by its current owner in 2014. A beautiful and extremely well maintained motorcycle, this SS80 would be a jewel in any collection.

Gran parte dei documenti che raccontano la storia, ed accompagnano questa moto, sono stati raccolti durante la proprietà di Williamson. Passando attraverso un altro proprietario, la moto è stata acquistata dal suo attuale intestatario nel 2014. Una moto bella e ben mantenuta, questa SS80 potrebbe diventare il gioiello di ogni collezione.
