In the 1960s, Fritz Egli took the incredibly powerful Vincent engines and put them into a spine-type tubular frame, completely welded together. Entirely handcrafted and incredibly rare, the Egli-Vincent became one of the most competitive bikes of its time. Hence Patrick Godet’s continuation series, of which this Café Racer is one. True to the original, Godet’s machines are so authentic that Egli himself granted Godet the use of his name.

The machine on offer utilizes a Vincent 1330 engine with casings and carburettors made of magnesium. Fitted with Fontana brakes front and rear, it is equipped with an electric starter, an electronic ignition, an aluminium tank, and a stainless steel muffler. The four-speed gearbox is new and features a multi-disc clutch.

Negli anni ’60 Fritz Egli ha preso i potenti motori Vincent e gli ha montati su un telaio tubolare con tutte le parti, disposte a costa, saldate assieme. Interamente realizzate a mano, le rarissime Egli-Vincent si sono anche dimostate essere tra le moto più competitive di quegli anni. Da qui nasce la “continuation series” realizzata da Patrick Godet, serie di cui questa Café Racer fa parte. Le moto realizzate da Godet sono così fedeli ai mezzi originali che, lo stesso Egli in persona ha autorizzato Godet ad utilizzare il suo nome.

La moto offerta in vendita, utilizza un motore Vincent 1330 e carburatori in magnesio. Equipaggiata con i freni anteriori e posteriori Fontana, adotta il motorino di avviamento elettrico, accensione elettronica, serbatoio in alluminio e scarico in acciaio inossidabile. Il cambio, nuovo, è a 4 rapporti e la frizione e del tipo multi-dischi.
