Launched in 1982, the Ferrari 308 Quattrovavole models featured four valves per cylinder, as its names suggest. As the latest iteration of the 308 before the arrival of the 328 models, the 308 Quattrovavole car’s had an increased horsepower of 240 bhp in European specification, along with a few other updates. Improved airflow came via a reworked front fascia, while function and form came together with a new steering-wheel design and power-adjustable exterior rearview mirrors. Production began in 1982 and wrapped up in 1985, with around 3,800 examples of both bodies eventually leaving Maranello.

With production lasting until 1985, offered here is a 308 GTB from the final year of Quattrovavole production. While not much is known about its history, this car appears largely original in many respects. The interior and engine bay both seem to have the correct trimmings and fittings, with a charming level of patina on the interior, that would allow for easy, worry-free use. However, it is clear that the car is suffering a fuel leak and will need to be serviced before being driven on a regular basis. Presented in classic Rosso Corsa over Beige, this would be the ideal car for an enthusiast looking to step into Ferrari ownership for the first time.
