  • Desirable second-generation 997 GT3 RS
  • 3,259 original miles at time of cataloguing
  • Finished in Grey Black with Guards Red graphics and wheels
  • Numerous desirable options including sound package plus and front axle lift kit

Introduced in 2010 to replace the outgoing, first-generation 997-series 911 GT3 RS, the new 997.2 GT3 RS offered a handful of welcome updates over the outgoing model. Chief amongst these was the 3.8-liter Mezger flat-six engine, which added an additional 35 brake horsepower over its 3.6-liter sibling, bringing total output to 450 brake horsepower. It shared the wider 911 bodyshell with the Carrera 4, and thanks to a revised front end and large rear spoiler, it achieved even greater downforce than the GT3, improving high-speed stability.

This 2011 Porsche GT3 RS 3.8 was finished in Grey Black, a $3,140 option, with contrasting Guards Red graphics and wheels over a black partial leather interior. The car was equipped with several desirable options, including the front axle lift kit, the sound package plus, cupholders, dynamic cornering lights, Bluetooth phone interface, universal audio interface, floor mats in interior color, and a lightweight battery. The sole Porsche Exclusive option on the car is the Alcantara storage lid with logo, a $490 option.

Built in October of 2010 for the 2011 model year, this GT3 RS 3.8 was sold new through Euro Performance Cars, Inc. in Wallingford, Connecticut to a prominent Northeastern collector, who would enjoy the car until it was acquired by its second owner in 2016. In January 2018, the GT3 RS was acquired by current ownership, a well-respected collector in Ontario, Canada. He had it serviced at Porsche of London, Ontario a few months later in April; work included a major service in addition to mounting and balancing four new tires. The odometer displays 3,259 original miles at the time of cataloguing, and the car is accompanied by its window sticker, manuals, and tools.

Having quickly achieved modern-collectable status among Porsche enthusiasts, the 997.2 GT3 RS provides exceptional performance both on the track and on the open road.
